Acceptable use policy

Draft — pending legal reviewDraft dated 28 July 2026

This policy is part of the Terms of service. It is short on purpose: the list of things you may not do is specific, and everything on it gets accounts closed.

1. What the service is for

Privacy, lawfully: signing up for services without handing out your personal number, testing your own products, and receiving your own verification codes. If your use fits that sentence, this policy will never bother you.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use readynum numbers, accounts or the API for any of the following:

  • Fraud or impersonation. Deceiving a person, platform or institution — including fake identities used to defraud, phishing, and payment fraud.
  • Harassment or stalking. Contacting, monitoring or targeting a person who does not want to hear from you, or helping anyone else do so.
  • Evading law enforcement. Using the service to obstruct or escape a lawful investigation, court order or sanctions regime.
  • Bulk spam. Unsolicited messaging at scale, robotexting, or mass-registering accounts to spam, scrape or manipulate a platform.
  • Resale for illegal use. Reselling, sharing or brokering our numbers for any purpose this policy prohibits. What you may not do, you may not sell either.
  • Evading platform bans or verification controls. Our numbers may not be used to evade a platform ban or a platform's verification controls, or to restore an account a platform has closed.
  • Taking over accounts you don't control. Receiving verification or two-factor codes for an account that isn't yours to control.
  • Illegal content or transactions. Anything unlawful in your jurisdiction or ours — including money laundering, trade in illegal goods, and the exploitation of minors.

3. Catalogue limits

Some service and country combinations are not sold because an upstream supplier, a carrier or the law prohibits them. When a route is restricted we remove it from the catalogue — we don’t sell it quietly and hope.

4. Enforcement

  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this policy, refuse individual orders, and block patterns of abuse before they complete.
  • Where the law requires it, we report unlawful activity to the competent authorities.
  • We disclose user data only on valid legal process — the full stance is on the trust page and in the Privacy Policy.
  • Wallet balances tied to prohibited use may be withheld while an investigation runs, where the law allows.

5. Reporting abuse

If you believe a readynum number is being used against this policy, tell us through the contact page. Reports are read by a person, and acting on them is how the service stays usable for everyone else.
