Refund policy

This text is identical — byte for byte — on this page, in the app at the moment you rent a number, and in the API docs. One policy, published, everywhere. If those surfaces ever differ, we treat it as a defect, not fine print.

If a code doesn't arrive, you don't pay. We auto-refund your wallet within 5 minutes when a number fails to receive a valid code. No form, no waiting. Refunds go to your readynum balance instantly and never expire. Prefer a card refund? Ask support and we'll send it back the way you paid within 5 business days.

The mechanics, in plain language

Pre-launch — you can read everything, but ordering isn't open yet. Where we are

When a refund triggers

Every rental carries a hard timeout: the larger of two minutes or three times the measured arrival time on that route. When the timeout passes without a valid code, the order fails and the auto-refund fires — no form, no support ticket, no judgement call. On routes we haven’t measured yet, the two-minute floor applies.

Or take a different number instead

When the timeout banner appears you can choose a re-roll: a different number on the same route, free, with one click. You pick — wait longer, re-roll, or take the refund. Nothing is decided for you.

Wallet first

Automatic refunds return spendable credit to your readynum wallet, and that balance never expires. The distinction matters: an auto-refund returns credit you can spend here; a card refund returns money to the card you paid with. We keep the two explicit so neither ever masquerades as the other.

Card refunds on request

Prefer the money back on your card rather than in your wallet? Ask support and we’ll send it back the way you paid, within 5 business days of the request, to the original payment method.

What does not qualify

If a valid code arrived, the service was delivered — that order is not refundable, including codes you decided not to use. The refund exists so you never pay for silence; it isn’t a way to try codes for free.

How we label success figures, what we delete after 24 hours, and the rest of the promises this policy sits inside are on the trust page.
